Speaker 1Okay , so it is , it's almost Christmas .

Speaker 1It's getting there and you know , everyone in the US celebrated Thanksgiving this past weekend Yep , we're recording this before Thanksgiving , but it's the landing post . So I thought it would be fun to have an episode about gift giving , and I imagine that buying gifts for coaches or people who are into personal development or like spiritual stuff is difficult maybe for the average person to purchase for , and so I found this list of gifts that you could give someone who's into personal development , who's a coach , who's into wellness and maybe spirituality that they would really like , that you might not think to get them , yeah .
Speaker 2Yeah , like the lobster shaped heating pad . Cover number 34 on our list . No , not that . Maybe , not that one , yeah , maybe not that one . Lobster and eating .
Speaker 1It's funny because , like I always think I'm such an easy person to shop for . You know , like I , there's so many things that I can think of that I would want , right , and people tell me that I'm , like , one of the most difficult people on their Christmas list to shop for . Yeah , and so I'm thinking that this , this , hopefully , this list is going to help people understand what people like me or , you know , someone who's a coach in your life or someone who's interested in personal development I don't even know if it's personal development , but just interested in different things might want .
Speaker 2A person who's interested in things they might want , some of the things that we're going to talk about during this episode .
Speaker 1I mean we can't make it any more clear than that . No , we can't .
Speaker 2But these are like things with like , yeah , a personal development , a coaching enthusiast , you know .
Speaker 1Self care maybe self care . Sit in self care .
Speaker 2Person . Let's just get into the list . Number 19 on the list is a small desktop pink refrigerator and I can tell you I have this . I don't have a pink one , I have mine . Looks identical to the photo but is of a different brand name and mine is black and I can see it If I look over my monitor . Past you , Atlanta banks , I can see it over there my desktop office refrigerator .
Speaker 1And I love that thing , I love it . How much , like how many cans of something fits in it .
Speaker 2It can hold six cans of pop comfortably . And some people use these as like self care refrigerators , like they keep their creams and lotion stuff in them . I keep . I keep drinks in mine , so I don't have to keep them in the communal fridge down the hall in my own little private fridge . I love that thing was not too expensive . If I didn't own it and somebody gave it to me as a gift , I would really like it .
Speaker 1Cool , and does it ? Is it just as cold as a regular fridge ?
Speaker 2Oh , absolutely , it's a real fridge , for sure .
Speaker 1And you plug it into the wall , not into your computer .
Speaker 2Yeah , every now and then it shuts down is like sorry , I need to upgrade my software , your drinks will be warm for two hours and then no , just plugged into the wall and into a regular plug . Yeah , regular plug comes with . The cord works out of the box . I bought mine on Amazon . There's some unsubscribes right there . The anti Amazon crowds want you to still shop at Amazon how dare you . Oh well , so if you see that the downloads go down next week , landmakes , because I admitted that I'd buy stuff from Amazon .
Speaker 1That's okay , I do too . Yeah , I mean you know what I also saw on the list . If we're on the theme of fridges , I saw one that you can plug in in your car on here .
Speaker 2I used to have a fridge in my car when I was a private investigator and I was on the road a lot oh that makes sense .
Speaker 2I had a working refrigerator in my car , a little one . It was shaped like an armrest . It was really cool . You could actually . It had a switch on the front . It could also heat , so you flip the switch and the inside of it would like pretty quickly go from being really cold to really hot . It was this cool and it plugged into the car and it was also like a cooler . So even when the car's power was off , you know it would keep stuff in there cool for a while after you turned off the car . That thing was cool . If you know somebody who is crazy and spends 12 hours a day in their car , like I used to as part of the job .
Speaker 1Yeah Well , that's what this thing is . It's a travel fridge with car charger .
Speaker 2What number is that ?
Speaker 1on the list Number 19 .
Speaker 2Number 19 . Oh okay , so that one's . Oh okay , so it's a little bit different , you know what though , now that I think about it , mine might have come with a car plugin as well the one that I have in my office but it definitely came with a wall plugin , as I use it in my office .
Speaker 1Yeah , cause this one says it's good also to keep your lotions and eye masks and stuff like that , rollers perfectly chilled , cool , put your eye mask in there ?
Speaker 2Yeah , okay .
Speaker 1Probably enough talking about that fridge . Yeah , let's move on Number 23 . Okay , go ahead .
Speaker 2Now I'm so excited about number 23 that I have to have two turns in a row .
Speaker 1Okay , Sorry .
Speaker 2I have to Okay . Himalayan salt lamp . I have two of these at my place . I should bring one to the office . Actually .
Speaker 1I like these salt lamps .
Speaker 2I just like the look of them .
Speaker 1Me too , I like the look of them .
Speaker 2They're good . You know , I like the vibe . Some people think they have like health benefits or energetic benefits , and I don't know whether that's true or not , but I just love the style of a good salt lamp with a little wooden base .
Speaker 1Yeah , me too .
Speaker 2It's all inside , it glows . It's like something out of Indiana Jones .
Speaker 1Yeah , and it's like a nice way to like , you know , bring the vibe down in the evening . You know , if you don't want bright lights , you just turn those on , and it's just like a nice , like candlelight .
Speaker 2Fire up your salt lamp .
Speaker 1Yeah , set the mood . I used to have one and then , when my kids were very little , they knocked it over and broke it and I've never replaced it . But I got it as a gift , which I thought was the nicest gift .
Speaker 2The great gift when I was gifted the salt lamp .
Speaker 1It's kind of one of those things you don't want to buy .
Speaker 2I bought two .
Speaker 1But , yeah . Well , maybe because the first time I ever had when I had been gifted it . So I was like , oh , that's cool . I don't know if I would have ever bought this , but this is a lovely gift .
Speaker 2If you know somebody who's into like personal development or like kind of like meditation , if they don't have salt lamp , get them a salt lamp .
Speaker 1Yeah , and they're cheap . I was just grocery shopping at Metro the other day and they had them at the grocery store .
Speaker 2Like a no name salt lamp in the yellow box with a black writing salt lamp .
Speaker 1I don't know what it was . It was in like the healthy food section or like where they sell vitamins and everything .
Speaker 2I did one time lick one of my salt lamps just out of curiosity . Very salty , genuine salt . Yep , very salty , really . A big chunk of sodium .
Speaker 1Yeah Well , while we're on the topic of lights , there's also this really cool number six . It's a wake up light , sunrise alarm clock . So rather than being like jolted awake by , like an annoying sound , this is like sunlight beaming into your room in the morning to wake you up .
Speaker 2Yeah , yeah , that's kind of cool . I don't have one of those , but I've heard good things .
Speaker 1Yeah , that's kind of cool . And then right below it is number seven , which is an acupressure mat and pillow set .
Speaker 2Yeah , I wouldn't use that if somebody gave me that .
Speaker 1Oh my gosh , it has needles in it .
Speaker 2Does it no ?
Speaker 1Without the needles Not needles .
Speaker 2it's like little . Yeah , I mean , this one's a little bit more risky . I think Some people probably would really like that , but I don't know that I wouldn't like it . It's just that I know that I wouldn't use it , like I would try it once and then it would be like in the closet permanently .
Speaker 1Yeah yeah it's one of those things where you'd probably use it for a week and then you're like oh , bring it away now because the cleaning light is coming , and then you know , bring it back out .
Speaker 2That reminds me I gotta recharge my massage gun . That's a good gift . I don't know if it's on this list or not , but a massage gun . You're looking at $100 plus for a decent massage gun , but that's a good gift .
Speaker 1That is a nice gift .
Speaker 2Yeah , if somebody doesn't have one , but they gotta actually enjoy a massage . Like some people never go for massages or not into it at all . They're not gonna use a massage gun , but if you know somebody who wants to pulverize their muscles with a mechanical device , like I do , it's a great gift .
Speaker 1Yeah , Number two . I like I've been wanting these . Actually they're Eucalyptus essential oil shower steamers . So you just like plop that in your shower , I guess , and then the steam of the shower just like makes the smell of the steamer . Is that how it ?
Speaker 2works Like the humidity of the shower causes it ? I think so off gas Eucalyptus fumes that smell nice .
Speaker 1Yeah , like I put , I always have fresh Eucalyptus in the shower , but it only works for the first couple of days and then it gets dry and then you don't really smell it as much .
Speaker 2Yeah , that sounds like a lot of upkeep . To have like constant fresh Eucalyptus in your shower , you'd have to have like Eucalyptus .
Speaker 1I think it'd be so cool to have like a live Eucalyptus wall or ceiling of your shower and then you just like get in there every morning and it's just like you're at the spa or you're in like a jungle or something .
Speaker 2I wonder if that's doable or how much light a Eucalyptus plant needs . Could you just have the plant in your bathroom ?
Speaker 1Yeah , probably .
Speaker 2I don't know .
Speaker 1What it needs to be like . I buy it fresh , but it's not planted Like . It's just from the flower area at the garden .
Speaker 2Yeah , that's what I mean . Could you have like a pot with ?
Speaker 1soil A potted Eucalyptus . Yeah .
Speaker 2I don't know like is it too big ? Is it like a banana tree ? And it's like massive . So you can't , I don't know .
Speaker 1I don't know . I'm gonna look into that actually later .

It's not on the list , but it's a crystal infused shower head , so it's like a shower head that's full of crystals and you screw it onto your shower whatever tap , and so the water goes through the crystal tube and then out of the shower head , so you're being showered with crystal infused water .
Speaker 2I think if you're gonna give that as a gift , you need to reserve that one for the most woo-woo of your woo-woo pals . Yeah , okay .

Speaker 1Yeah , I probably would .
Speaker 2Yeah , you would . So , if you know Atlanta . Banks , she's dropping hints here . People Get her that crystal infused shower head , cool okay .
Speaker 1I don't know if it would be compatible , though it depends . I don't know if it would be compatible with my shower .
Speaker 2You could just call up your local plumber Say hey , I've got this very special shower head . I need you to install , you know . Yeah yeah , there you go by local . Okay , what else we got here ? Water bottle yeah boring . Don't buy people a water bottle .

Speaker 2Boring water bottle , unless it's got some special . Yeah , maybe there's some special water bottles , like one that's made out of stone . I saw that one time . That was kind of cool . A chunk of rose quartz to massage with , that's kind of a cool idea .

Speaker 1Yeah , so you know what that is . You put oil on your face and then you use it to smooth your skin and it's supposed to be really stimulating for your skin . Yeah , yeah , I like that idea .
Speaker 2I wouldn't , mind that that stuff's pretty good , it works .
Speaker 1Yeah , it totally works . There's a weighted blanket on here . Have you ever used a weighted blanket ?
Speaker 2I have not . I have not .
Speaker 1Yeah , I haven't either .
Speaker 2I've heard good things . The people who use them seem to like them .
Speaker 1Yeah , I wouldn't mind trying one Tranquility weighted blanket .
Speaker 2There you go . Number 43 is an essential oil diffuser . Those things are cool . They put that little puff of mist behind you . You can use your essential oils .

Speaker 2I've had a couple of these over the years . My objection is they break , they get gunked up . You get bored of them after a while . Yeah , I don't know , it's going to depend on the person .

Speaker 2You know what I think is a really great gift . I don't know if it's necessarily on this list , but really nice quality sheets . If you're new to mattress size and give someone a sheet set that is high thread count or a really good quality flannel sheet set , that would be a lovely gift .

Speaker 2For anybody A bit on the pricier end . Yeah , Again . Yeah , that's up there with the massage gun , maybe even more , oh yeah .

Speaker 1Yeah , we're just talking gifts .
Speaker 2It was a gold bar , beautiful gift , just like a bar of actual pure 24 karat gold . What would you do with that , though they were beautiful gifts .
Speaker 1Put it on your desk .
Speaker 2I don't know . I would probably not put it on my desk . My office has glass walls . Somebody walking by could just see it and break the glass and take it . I probably would put it in a safe I don't know Gold bar .
Speaker 1Yeah , gold bar . I didn't even know you could buy those .
Speaker 2You can . You can order them from the Royal Canadian Mint .
Speaker 1Oh , that's cool , oh that's like a nice little gift for maybe like a special Christmas or something . Actually , you know what ?
Speaker 2Joking aside , an actual full-size gold bar is worth a ton of money . But on a more everyday scale , from the Mint and even if you're outside of Canada there's other sources for this you can order little , tiny gold coins that are like pure gold and they're stamped , sometimes with designs or with the name of the facility that made them or whatever you can get , and they usually come in gift packaging . You can give people like a tiny little gold coin that's worth whatever amount really that you want , because there's all different sizes . That would be kind of , depending on the person , a unique and potentially very special gift , because how many people have like an actual gold coin ? Right , yeah , they own .
Speaker 1Not many Holds right . Yeah , not many , that's not on the list .
Speaker 2That's a Ryan Montes idea . Yeah , that's just straight out of your noggin I just straight out of it , because I've thought about buying it just for myself as a novelty . But I haven't All you fearless cat burglars out there . I don't have any gold or precious metals of any sort at my home or office , Not yet . I think this is cool . I like that one .

Speaker 1I also liked the first one . It's a jar of positive messages in a bottle and it's little capsules and you open up a capsule and read a positive message every day .
Speaker 2That's what that is . I was just right over that because I thought it was some kind of supplement or something . It's okay . So it's made to look like a pill bottle , like a medication , but it's not . It's little motivational , friendly messages that you unravel and they're sort of like the shape of a pill . Okay , that's kind of cool . That's cute , that's kind of cool . And it says on the bottle there open one capsule and read positive message on the inside one time a day or as needed .
Speaker 1Oh , that's nice . Okay , that's a cute little thing . Sure , this is nice too , the natural aroma therapy lavender heat pillow . So you probably put it in the microwave , or you could put it in your office fridge .
Speaker 2No , my office . Oh , if I want it cold , my office fridge is cold . Only it was the old school car fridge that could make things hot .
Speaker 1That's long gone , long gone , but this one you can microwave this one or you can put it in the fridge . The freezer .

Speaker 1But it smells like lavender and you just put it on whatever your eyes , probably , or your neck . This looks cool too

Speaker 1Yeah , I'm not into it . Yeah , I would never bring that with me . Like it sounds amazing , but they should just have them on the plane .

Speaker 1I feel like you get your hands on this thing and it's not like you think like yeah Well , if you have to sit like that with your arms in it , that might not be comfortable . Yeah , yeah , have you seen that ostrich pillow where you put your head into it and then , you like , just put your head down on the table .
Speaker 2Yeah , I've seen different variations of those . Yeah , I don't know .
Speaker 1I wouldn't , I wouldn't , that's not comfortable for me to sleep like that . I see people sleeping on planes like that where they're just like folded over in half .
Speaker 2Yeah .
Speaker 1I'm more of a like put my head to the side , yeah , yeah .
Speaker 2I don't know if those work for you , great . Don't give me that as a gift because , like I don't , it's really personal if the if that's going to work . Those weird pillows like . Back to number thirty four , the lobster heating pad . It's looking better and better .
Speaker 1I like that . I think that's a cool gift . It's a cute little gift to give someone . Also this teedrops box .
Speaker 2Yeah , teedrop box , or it's like an assortment of teas and a wooden box .

Speaker 2That's always you know , but that's kind of more like a teacher gift . You know you give that to , you give that to someone you don't really know and also like you know it's giving a person a tea variety pack , like it's a pretty unique , like individual thing , what types of tea person likes and if they like tea . So I mean , if you've got a tea person , sure , what about this giving ?
Speaker 1heart pillow so you can give this heart pillow and they can like squeeze it and feel the love . Yeah , it's a nice gift for , like a friend that's far away , not into it . It's a reminder , maybe it's more of like a girly thing . What number is that ? Number 20 .

Speaker 1Yeah , it's just a heart shaped pillow , though . Yeah , but it's just like a reminder . It's just like , like you know , those glow , those glow stuffies . I always see them on Instagram Low stuffies .
Speaker 1I think they're like glow up stuffies and like if you they're like attached , so you use them for your kids too . It's just like I'm thinking about you and it glows . And then when , when the animal glows , then they know that the other person that has the other one is thinking about you . And then , when the animal glows , then they know that the other person that has the other one is thinking about them .
Speaker 1Oh wow , that's kind of interesting . Yeah , it's cute . Like I just think of that for , like , when my kids go to like university or something or they're not at home . I can just do like you know yeah glow , glow the stuffie .
Speaker 2Yeah , I got you . I think we covered most of the good ones , like a bathtub tray so you can have a little organizer in front of you when you're laying in the tub and you can have your wine glass and your smartphone .
Speaker 1I wouldn't want that .
Speaker 2Yeah , it kind of depends too much how people do their baths . I'm productive in my bath . I've got the laptop and watching Netflix Chocolate vegetables , so I could use that .
Speaker 1I don't even think this would fit on my tub Like I think it would be more for like one of those freestanding tugs .
Speaker 2No , I think you could make it work Wherever and it's adjustable .
Speaker 1That was adjustable .
Speaker 2Oh , it's slides .
Speaker 1This is like a really fancy one .
Speaker 2Yeah , it's a fancy tub productivity organizer . I don't know what you call it , because in the photo , in the organizer , like the variety of things that this person has access to , there's like shampoo and soap , but also a smartphone playing a music video , but also like a stand for a book , two different things of nuts , a glass of that's clearly sangria . They've got a rolled up towel in the organizer and there's like a drawer pulled out that has a soap , I think that's so open it yeah . That's a lot .
Speaker 1And a candle . Oh yeah , I missed the candle .
Speaker 2There's a candle there as well . It's like this is for the professional bathtub user . Yeah , like you're in there for a few hours . Yeah , this is the person that has the little pink refrigerator next to them with the drinks inside . So if you I mean if you know , if you know somebody that needs this thing like you know no , the that person , I'll give me the glasses . Sangria , though I haven't had some . Haven't had sangria in a long time .
Speaker 1Mm , hmm , um , I like this one . We can make this one the last one , these mindfulness cards .
Speaker 2Yeah .
Speaker 1So you just pick a card and you know it probably gives you some sort of quote about a mindfulness practice . I was thinking of doing validation card . Well , you gave me that idea to do validation cards . Do you remember that ? No , I don't , I've been thinking about it but I just haven't , because I really want to create a deck of some sort , but like validation cards would be cool and I think about it . Anyway , that's the list . Hopefully you have some cool ideas for people in your life who are into this kind of thing .

Speaker 2Or maybe they prefer audio books . But chocolate's tricky too , because there's all these dark chocolate weirdos that think dark chocolate tastes better than real chocolate , which it doesn't .

Speaker 1say , when I was doing my training last week , one of the girls went to the bulk burn and brought back all this chocolate . I was so excited . It was all dark chocolate , dark chocolate covered coffee beans , dark chocolate covered almonds and something else , and I was like , ah , I just wanted to have some milk chocolate .
Speaker 2And she brought back the chocolate for Everbin .
Speaker 1Everyone .
Speaker 2Yeah , yeah , it wasn't just her personal stash , it was for the whole group , like that's like coming in with arms full of pizza and being like I bought everybody pizza and it has like anchovies on every single piece of light .
Speaker 1Yeah , come on .
Speaker 2God bless that kind woman though I still , I still ate them . Yeah , I still ate them .
Speaker 1Still very grateful for the chocolate that that was provided .
Speaker 2Exactly , exactly , eternal gratitude . That was a very kind gesture .
